Our apartments
All our cosy apartments have been completely renovated in 2024. Every apartment has its own bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. And on sunny mornings, you can enjoy your breakfast on your private porch.
After purchasing the building in May 2023 we knew there was a lot of work to be done. The original state was not what we had in mind when we decided to rent out the apartments to tourists and nature lovers visiting Glaskogen Nature Reserve and the Värmland region.
In Januari 2024 we finished renovating the first and second apartment and since we are open for business. A world class heatpump system has been installed in December 2023. With stable 'warmth' coming from 190 meter below the surface of the earth, the building is comfortable on the hottest and on the coldest days year-round.
In the upcoming years, we will continue working on this great place - inside and out. In the future we will offer 8 apartments in different sizes. Follow us on social media for frequent updates!

Do you want to explore Glaskogens hiking trails and canoeing possibilites? Glaskogen Apartments is situated right on the edge of Glaskogen Nature Reserve. With a supermarket, a bus stop and a pizzeria within 500 meters there is no better place for your 'basecamp'.

Very nice renovated apartments. Compliments to the owners. Beautiful view over the Swedish landscape.
The apartments are on the edge of the nature reserve. This allows you to experience adventures quickly and easily. There are plenty of trails to discover for gravel bikes or hikers.
Outside there is a small fire pit where you can sit by in the evening.
Went here to ride mountainbike in the Glaskogen Nature reserve. Stayed for 2 nights in July 2024 at this beautiful little place with nice and friendly owners. The apartment was clean and the area very peaceful.
We really loved staying at the Glaskogen Apartments in Glava. My family and I stayed for nearly two weeks this summer (In July) and we can only say good things about it and we were sad to leave.
The rooms are freshly renovated and very stylish. The beds are comfortable and amenities are all top notch. Big ++ plus ++ was that the water pressure for the showers was awesome!
The owners are a wonderful couple that are personally renovating the property. You can tell that are putting their heart and soul into it. The grounds are lovely and all the apartments have a balcony with a rural view.
On multiple occasions we got to see deer and moose walking in the field next door. On a number of occasions we utilised the outdoor fire and other guests come to join and chat which was nice to meet people from other countries and see/hear their stories. The hosts also supplied a few marshmallows for our daughter to toast on the fire 🙂 One evening we even used it as a BBQ!
I was fortunate enough that the owner (Peter) does Kayak tours and we have a wonderful evening on one of the nearby lakes. It was truely magical. So quiet and serene (and I got to ride in his cool 4x4).
Glava is a small village and so just a 5 minute walk from apartment is an ICA (supermarket) which has everything you need and a Pizza place which does very generous pizzas and Kebabs if you dont feel like cooking.
My wife and child used the bus to get into Arvika (town about 30 mins away), bus was on time and new, mainly empty too. Very easy. Plenty of on-site parking if you are bringing your own car.
Great place to stay if you’re out gravel biking/bike packing. Get the «luxury breakfast» and bring some of it as lunch for your ride. There’s a pizza place nearby and a shop to restock.
Thank you so much for the stay! As a non-driver, the location was around 100 m from the Glava (Lövås) stop. (Ask the driver). But for those of you who do drive, they have plenty of parking space up front. Communication was quick and clear and service was also great. I stayed in the smallest apartment, Den Gröna Vargen, which had more than enough space for one or two people. If you’re there for hiking, remember to bring your bug spray (lake region, ensuring plenty of mosquitoes and horseflies in the forest). Highly recommend!
We had the opportunity to celebrate new year eve at Glaskogen Apartment that is located in the litlle village Glava. It was a wonderfull white winter wonderland and parking spot was nicely cleaned before arrival. We stayed at the first fully renovated appartment. From the appartment we had a nice few over the fields and to the from Glaskogen nature reserve that provides a lot of hiking trails. It's located close the a small supermarked where you can get all necessary supplies. Looking forward to our next visit.
